LOCUS AMOENUS

The term Locus Amoenus is a literary topos of classical tradition that describes an idealized natural place, associated with harmony, serenity, and the beauty of the landscape. In literature and art, this concept has been used to represent paradisiacal spaces and havens of calm, where nature appears orderly and welcoming, creating an atmosphere conducive to contemplation and rest.

From this idea, and as an exercise in modeling and rendering, this triptych emerges, conceived as a visual exploration of that idealized landscape. The work does not seek to represent a specific place, but rather to evoke the sensory and emotional qualities traditionally associated with the Locus Amoenus: tranquility, pause, and connection with nature.
